Prices & Availability
On the Hoof – currently, exclusively retails Cavallo Products, our business objective is to provide to all riders and Cavallo wearers the BEST service combined with the BEST value prices. We are committed to providing a thorough and personalised service!
Availability
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time, including after you have placed your order. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be informed and offered an alternative of accepting late delivery or a full refund.
Prices
Prices currently DO NOT include Value Added Tax.
Our pricing is as shown online at www.onthehoof.co.uk we do not change our prices for telephone, personal or on-line sales, thus keeping every price equitable and fair. Prices are reviewed annually and are calculated in conjunction with the UK distributor pricing, material costs and general market trends.
Payments: All credit card payments attract a 2% charge of the sum of the total purchase. All debit card purchases are free of charge.
Making A Purchase
Many clients choose to telephone to discuss sizing, model of product, colours or to arrange a measurement consultation. For those clients who are familiar with Cavallo and know their sizing we also offer online purchasing of a range of products that are generally available and often held in stock. This is however, a variable that is dictated by market forces and should you choose to purchase online - 5 easy steps is all it takes:
1. Clicking on a category of your choice. Then browse through our shop until you find any items you wish to buy.
2. Once you find a product you wish to purchase simply click the ‘buy' button after making any appropriate selections such as size and colour.
3. You will be prompted to confirm your order and specify the quantity required.
4. At this point you can either proceed to the checkout and pay for your chosen product or you can continue to shop. You can add as many items to your order as you desire. At any stage you can view the contents of your order by clicking the view order button.
5. When ready you can proceed to the checkout. At this point you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. Payment is by credit/debit card and all prices are in pounds sterling exclusive of VAT. We accept Visa and Mastercard and Switch. Credit card transactions are secure and are processed online.
Whenever possible we aim to despatch goods within 3-5 days of receiving the order, providing the goods are in stock.
Deliveries
We aim to hold stocks of most products illustrated on our website and aim to despatch goods, if in stock, within 24 - 48 hours of receiving an order. However, at times of exceptional demand, delivery may be extended, we will inform you accordingly.
Postage & Packing: due to changes in distribution. Unfortunately we now have to charge postage & packaging at the following rates:

We reserve the right to amend postage & packing prices as appropriate.
Damaged or Undelivered Goods
Please check the condition of your parcel on delivery prior to signing for acceptance. In the event that goods are missing or damaged on arrival please specify against your signature and inform us immediately, but by no later than within 7 working days, otherwise no claim can be considered. If goods are returned or are defective they must be returned to us in their original packaging unworn / unused and no attempt to repair or rectify the goods must be attempted. If returned to us within 7 days - we will replace the item or offer you credit for an alternative product or provide a refund (less postage or nominal administration fee) , providing they are returned in the condition that they were dispatched in. After 28 days from dispatch date has elapsed goods are deemed to be "Accepted goods" *
Tax Charges
Currently no VAT is charged on ALL purchases. Customs duty and tax charges on all overseas purchases are the responsibility of the customer. Please contact your local customs office for further information.
Credit Card Security
Credit card security is provided through HSBC Secure‘e-payment. All credit card transactions are processed online using HSBC Secure E-payments and you will receive online confirmation of payment authorisation.
On the Hoof - take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from On the Hoof.
Service - Every effort is made to ensure that our service in terms of measurements, advice and product quality is of the highest standard. To this end all orders are Confirmed in Writing by email, post or fax. We will not continue with an order unless our order confirmation, which includes size and product description/ name is acknowledged by the customer / client.
Made to measure orders and individual specification orders - All made to measure products ordered from On The Hoof require Full Payment in advance. All made to measure products are specifically ordered for personal needs / sizes. Normal right to cancel within 7 days apply. If you cancel after 7 days full payment will still be taken.
Returned Goods (excluding Made to measure or individual specification orders)
A full refund (less postage, packing and any bank charges you may incur a 'Goods on approval fee' - #see below) will be provided on any item returned to us in the original packaging, unsoiled, within 7 days for any reason and/or within 28 days if defective. Alternatively the goods may be exchanged within the 28 day period. Refunds or exchanges will not be made before we receive the undamaged / unsoiled returned goods. Returns made after 28 days or soiled goods will not be eligible for refund or exchange. When trying on boots, breeches or jackets please keep on attached labels and do not wear outside or use them in any manner that would cause permanent creasing, damage, discolouration or the need to wash the item, all items must only be tried on indoors. Please pack carefully to avoid damage. Any damaged, soiling or use outside will constitute an "Acceptance of the Goods" (see below)
All returns postage expense is the responsibility of the customer/client of On the Hoof. We recommend that you obtain a certificate of postage with adequate insurance from the Post Office if making a return, to enable you to make a claim for any loss or damage, as we are unable to compensate for return parcels that are lost or damaged in transit. On the Hoof is not liable for any damage caused during any return postage / delivery. It is the purchasers sole responsibility for the safe carriage and return to us of the returned goods.
Goods Purchased - On Approval
All goods purchased and are used to assess sizing and style can only be returned if they are undamaged / unsoiled. An assessment period of 7 days is considered reasonable and appropriate. They MUST be returned within 7 days of receipt and and will be refunded less postage & packing, associated bank charges, plus an administration fee of £30.00 - any goods purchased with a view to assessing size will be considered as 'accepted goods' * beyond the 7 day assessment period. We recommend that all returns are sent using a postage facility that requires a receipt of purchase certificate and /or insurance is taken out to cover any loss during the goods return.. On the Hoof is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred during postage returns. If goods are "accepted" the £30.00 administration fee will be waived.
* "Accepted goods" - are goods that are deemed accepted in all respects by the purchaser / client and are no longer refundable or exchangeable. Accepted goods - are goods purchased from 'On the Hoof' which have been agreed by order confirmation, paid for prior to dispatch and delivered to the clients nominated delivery address; and in all cases when 28 days have past from the time of dispatch. If goods are tried on outside, soiled or damaged then they will be considered 'Accepted' .In the case of assessing size or to try a product for style or sizing (on approval) then goods are considered 'Accepted' after 7 days.
